It&#39;s difficult to recommend this place enough. The food is flawless and the dining experience leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy.

I like the retro environment inside, the door is very bright, so it is easier to find at night, the Italian ham inside is really delicious, and it is full of plates, with cheese super first-class.

Occasionally found a more distinctive German restaurant, the sausage is very special, the sauce is very good, the fried fish steak inside is also delicious, the sea fish is very fresh, similar to the meaning of domestic farm food.

The service was bad. The waiter was quite rude. He didn&#39;t wait for what we were going to say even when he asked for our orders. We didn&#39;t like our table, over table was on an inclined floor but he said that although many places were empty, you can&#39;t change the table. Tried to fix the table and poured our drinks and even didn&#39;t say sorry. Later he came and changed it. The prices were quite high for the portions. The photos were amazing but we got basicly nothing special for 70euros. We went for my birthday, but it was a very wrong choice.

The reception we received at the restaurant was appalling. We had travelled from the other side of the Berlin to be there.  There was no advice on how to find our way from the u-bahn, especially after dark.   When we arrived, we were told we were &ldquo;no-shows&rdquo;.  That was appalling.  We would rate the service as zero. But after that the food was excellent and, after the chef himself came out, the service became very good too. But first impressions count and ours were very poor.

What a great meal! I&rsquo;ve never had anything like what we had tonight. From the appetizer to the dessert everything that was put in front of us was excellent. We enjoyed the service but come for the food. I don&rsquo;t usually rave about food but this was truly a 10/10 place!!

Absolutely outstanding traditional German food (from different regions) from the wife (FOH) and husband (chef) team at Bass. Incredible bread baked onsite, perfectly seasoned soup and a plethora of amazing tastes in the other starter we had (herring) and  the mains (cod and pasta). The menu was explained in lovely detail and calm, relaxing dining environment. Definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic food and great service. Great German food and beers. Really friendly host. Can&rsquo;t falt it. A must visit when in Berlin!
